Jayakuik plain particleboard laminated with decorative papers; impregnated with melamine resins on both sides under controlled intense heat and pressure. The melamine resin impregnated decorative papers meet the stringent test on DIN 53799: 1986

Heat Resistance
  1. Lighted cigarette placed on surface of test samples.
  2. Sample placed in oven and baked at 70°c for 24 hours.
  3. Aluminium container containing Oil superheated to 180°c placed on sample for 20 minutes.
 Stain easily removed by wet cloth, no hairline cracks observed using a 6 x magnifying glass, no marks or any changes observed.
Abrasion Resistance Taber abraser applier at 100 rpm on to sample surface. Insignificant reduction of sample weight.
Steam Resistance Test sample placed on top of beaker of boiling water for an hour. No faults observed.
Boiling water Resistance Sample boiled in water for 2 hours and then immersed in cool water for 5 minutes. No defects observed.
Chemical or Stain Resistance Surface of test sample exposed to various chemical and stain, mineral Acid, Alkali Alcohol, Petroleum Products, Coffee, Aminol Oil, Vegerable Oil/Sauce, Soap/Detergent, Tea, Vinegar, Sugar, Ink, Lip-stick, Nail-Polish, Milk/Milk Products, Ammonia/Ammonium Chloride, Shoe polish. No faults or stains observed on sample in all cases.
